Lowville Commons (Mental Health and Substance Use)

THRIVE’s Lowville Commons staff is inclusive of a NYS Licensed Psychiatrist (Clinic Medical Director), Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners (NPP), Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), and a diverse set of therapist with various levels of knowledge, treatment modalities and years of experience (LMSW, LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC). Our skilled medical providers, clinicians, care managers, peers, and support staff are trained and qualified to provide services for both mental health and substance use.

We follow person-centered, strength-based, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented models of care which recognize each patients’ unique strengths and needs. Services include, but are not limited to: screenings and assessments, individual, group, and family counseling across the lifespan; care management; peer services; vocational services; medication prescribing and management (Medication for Opioid Use Disorders and psychotropic medications); harm reduction services (i.e. Narcan, Fentanyl test strips, tobacco cessation), referrals and coordination of care services, etc. We aim to empower individuals so that they may achieve their highest level of functioning.

Evidence-based interventions are utilized based on the identified needs of those seeking help, including cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma informed care, dialectical behavior skills, psychodynamic therapy, and/or a variety of other approaches which will facilitate positive change and wellness.

Individuals and families can be evaluated/assessed and treated at our main clinic site, located in Lowville. We can also provide therapeutic services (individual/family verbal therapy) in the following school districts: Lowville Academy and Central School District, South Lewis Central School District and Copenhagen Central School District.

Referrals can be submitted on behalf of self, friend/family member, school, primary care or any other entity. They can be submitted in person, by fax, or taken over the phone. Once received our friendly administrative staff will be in contact to further review and discuss your referral and needs.

The Lowville Commons accepts a wide variety of insurances, to include but not limited to Medicaid, Medicare, Tricare, Fidelis, BC/BS, and other private insurances; if you are unsure if your insurance is accepted, please contact our clinic to further inquire.
